The largest private island in the BVI, Peter Island is surrounded by the sparkling waters of the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, and Sir Francis Drake Channel. Just four miles south of Tortola, it occupies the fifth largest of 60 islands, quays, and exposed reefs that comprise the BVI. Beef Island Airport Tortola: is approximately 6 miles from Peter Island. This is an international airport serviced primarily by American Eagle, Liat and Fly B.V.I. All arrivals are greeted by Peter Island concierge and escorted to a waiting yacht for transfer. * Road Town, Tortola . Capital of British Virgin Islands. Approximately 25 minute ferry ride from Peter Island. * St. Thomas, Charlotte Amalie Approximately 20 miles away is the duty free shopping capital of the Caribbean. From leather goods to perfumes, precious gems or designer clothing, St. Thomas is a weekly shopping excursion from the dock at Peter Island.
